I never thought it would be possible to lose more than 3 pounds in a month&#8217;s time, considering that I was an endomorph. I decided to go against the odds and stuck with a more disciplined routine. There are actually hundreds of ways to stay fit and healthy without needing to starve. It was a defining moment for me to know the when, what and how of dieting right.</p>
<p>Starting Wrong</p>
<p>Most people do it wrong, including myself before. I thought that embarking on a diet was like going on a special quest so I had to eat and drink and stay merry before the big first day. I practically stuffed myself with the fattiest and oiliest foods I could think of, believing that my tastebuds would not miss the flavors during the next several weeks. <p>My motives were good. However, I was not fine-tuning my body to really get ready for physical activity. <p>ISOMETRICS&#8230;according to Wikipedia:  a type of strength training in which the joint angle and muscle length do not change during contraction (compared to concentric or eccentric contractions, called isotonic movements). Isometrics are done in static positions, rather than being dynamic through a range of motion. The joint and muscle are either worked against an immovable force (overcoming isometric) or are held in a static position while opposed by resistance (yielding isometric).</p>
<p>ISOMETRICS&#8230;according to Merriam-Webster:   exercise or a system of exercises in which opposing muscles are so contracted that there is little shortening but a great increase in tone of muscle fibers involved.</p>

<p>Wherever you are seated, push back, extend your legs and cross your feet. Keep them crossed as you try to pull them apart. Now, alternate feet and do again. No need to strain, but you will want to go just a bit past casual and comfortable. Later in the month you can feel free to really put some power in these exercises; especially since you will already have more power. This one is particularly fun because you can place your hands on top of your legs and instantly feel what is going on.</p>
<p>These three simple exercises should provide you with all the proof you need. Isometrics is working for thousands of people&#8230;even those of you who have avoided exercise saying that you just don&#8217;t have even a minute to spare.  How about 28 seconds?</p>

<p>However, you don&#8217;t want to increase your intake of saturated fats. Saturated fats are what cause disease and coronary problems. Though you will always have some saturated fats in your diet, your main focus should be to increase your intake of Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs).</p>
<p>EFAs are unsaturated fats that are necessary for thousands of biological functions throughout the body. Because they cannot be manufactured by the body, the must be provided by your diet. These fatty acids not only help increase testosterone production, but they also aid in the prevention of muscle breakdown, help to increase your HDL level (good cholesterol) and assist in hormone production.
