From Bloater To Motivator
I have not been been in touch with my folks and siblings for about 10
years I became a bit worried when I talked to a cousin
who I discovered on the web and he told me that my old mans brother had a triple
bypass operation and his sister had a pace maker put in.
The fact that both of them had heart attacks instantly placed me on code
red for any potential issues that could signify a possible
heart condition. My first instinct wasn’t to instantly go out and buy a Zoll M
defibrillator just in case my chest went into fibrillation but it did shake me up a bit.
I had just placed my sole trading company on hold and had been grazing on
food, which had put the pounds on, 14 stone at 6 foot for me isn’t a good weight. It
might have been psychosomatic but I began to be concerned about a pain that I was
feeling in my chest.
Anyway a blood test at the doctors later told me that my blood fats were to
high and the Doctor told me I was borderline needing a prescription to reduce level down due to my family history of heart attacks (though she said there was no evidence that a parents Siblings effected their children
).
Wake up!!!! I instantly removed from my diet butter, cheese (love cheese!) and didn’t eat chocolate
or anything that had a elevated fat content. Increased foods that
reduced cholesterol (foods from the supermarket nothing professing super
powers) and began Mountain biking to the then newly started job (ten miles there and back cross
country, 14 miles by tarmac).
I purchased a set of scales that originally recorded my fat levels being 25 or 26 which was much to
high I now have it down to 20-21 which is what it should be. I am now 12 and a half stone and back to
my normal healthy self. I haven’t been back to the doctors and am not renting a Zoll M defibrillator just in case, because I know my cholesterol levels are
back under control even allowing myself chocolate, cheese and butter in sensible amounts.
When feel that you weigh to much or have a inactive life and suffer from
being de energised think about what you consume and start exercising it doesn’t take
long (about a year for me) to have a real benefit to your existence.
